A RARE .177 UNDER-LEVER AIR-RIFLE, MODEL 'FIRST SERIES MK3', serial no. 581,
for the first year of production 1947, with blued 18 1/2in. tapering barrel, block and blade fore-sight with provision for protector (absent), elevating rear-sight, early type conical loading tap, plain air-chamber marked 'THE WEBLEY MK 3, WEBLEY & SCOTT LTD, BIRMINGHAM, MADE IN ENGLAND', trigger block with rare 'double-pull' mechanism (working), semi saw-grip pale walnut half-stock with seventeen groove fore-end (repaired hairline crack behind cocking slot), white plastic 'Webley' medallion inlaid to right hand side of butt and blued streamlined under-lever with close fitting cocking link, retaining the majority of its original blued finish (some 'salt & pepper' frosting)
