A 40-BORE BOX-LOCK FLINTLOCK POCKET PISTOL SIGNED 'NOCK', no visible serial number, circa late 18th Century, with 1 1/2 in. steel turn-off barrel, border engraved steel lock with engraved 'stand-of-arms' and panels to both sides, the left panel enscribed 'H. NOCK' and the right 'LONDON', Birmingham proof-marks, steel fittings, sliding safety, slab-sided wooden butt, some cleaned pitting, barrel 'scored', presumably resulting from attempting to free when 'frozen', small chip right side of butt where meets lock, 6 1/2 in. overall
