A .32 (RIMFIRE) TRANTER'S PATENT ROOK AND RABBIT RIFLE, CIRCA 1865, serial no. 713, with 21 in octagonal barrel the top flat inscribed 'S. GRANT 67 ST. JAMES ST. LONDON', fitted with dovetailed bead front-sight and leaf rear-sights to 100 yards, dropping barrel action operated by a latch lever, border line engraved receiver body stamped in an oval on the left 'TRANTERS PATENT' / 713', central hammer, (top of spur broken and missing action at fault), iron mounted walnut butt with chequered wrist.
