A 22-BORE PERCUSSION WALKING-STICK SHOTGUN SIGNED DAY'S PATENT', no visible serial number,
circa 1835, with shortened 18 3/4in. turn-off twist iron round barrel (frozen), cylindrical hilt with pan-headed under-hammer and exposed trigger, the top of receiver marked 'DAY'S PATENT' (rubbed), walnut saw-handled grip, the muzzle with brass-mounted wooden extension piece and ramrod combined giving an overall length of 36in. when fitted
