circa 1830, with re-browned round 42in. twist-iron barrel, raised short sighting-rib signed 'LONDON' with an engraved needle going forwards, bead fore-sight, carved nipple boss with platinum plug, brushed bright acanthus engraved top-tang, border and acanthus leaf engraved brushed bright lock signed 'SMITH', walnut half-stock with chequered wrist (repair above lock, cracked at toe), re-blued iron furniture and ebony under-barrel ramrod
