converted to centre-fire from pinfire, 30in. reproved bold damascus barrels, rib engraved 'PATENT. WESTLEY RICHARDS. 170. NEW BOND ST. LONDON.', the breech ends with acanthus scroll detailing and plugged pinfire apertures, 2 7/8in. chambers, bored approx. true cyl. in both, incorporating Westley Richards improved single-bite toplever snap-action, patent no. 2623 of 22nd October 1864, use number partially lost to striker bar inserts, fluted fences, toplever with cutout for right hammer (later modification), non-rebounding sidelocks with replacement hammers, bar-in-wood, the fore-end (with repairs) and sculpted horn finial meeting at the knuckle in a crab joint, bold acanthus scroll engraving, the triggerguard with a pointer,14 3/8in. well-figured stock including steel buttplate, weight 6lb. 14oz.,
