A CASED 54-BORE PERCUSSION FIVE-SHOT REVOLVER, MODEL 'ADAM'S MODEL 1851', serial no. 30245B,
circa 1853, with blued octagonal 6 3/8in. barrel, the top-flat signed 'JOSEPH BRAZIER & SON, MAKERS, WOLVERHAMPTON', dove-tailed fore-sight, standing notch rear-sight to rear of top-strap, borderline and partially scroll engraved solid frame signed 'ADAMS PATENT 1851' in an oval on the left hand side, 'L' shaped safety spring, colour hardened border engraved cylinder, spurless hammer, chequered walnut flared grip with cap-box in the heel-plate, engraved trigger-guard bow, no provision for rammer, the whole retaining virtually all its original finish and faded colour; TOGETHER WITH its mahogany storage case lined and compartmented in green baize and containing a bag-shaped flask, a spare colour hardened cylinder, cap tin, loading rod, double cavity Adams mould, oil bottle, turn-screw and nipple-key, all showing little signs of use
