A SCARCE POWDER-HORN FOR THE DUKE OF NORTHUMBERLAND'S MILITIA,
early 19th Century, with an approximately 10in. cow-horn body, the brass nozzle engraved with 'F' and the number '48', simple pull-out measure held with a sprung catch and a slightly domed brass end-cover engraved with the Duke of Northumberland's crest of a recumbant crescent surmounted by a crown (light discolouration to metal parts)
