pre 1940, with plated lozenge cross-section 25 1/4in. blade, central blind fuller for the first third of its length, makers mark at forte, carved and plated cross-guard in the form of drooping eagle wings, the centre mounted with a sunwheel swastika device, spiral wire-bound blue-leather grip-piece, large sunwheel swastika disk pommel with oakleaves engraved around the edge and complete with its blue leather scabbard with plated fittings, the locket engraved '4 FEA 37' over '4' on the reverse and together with its blue leather belt-frog (worn)
