NEW YORK U.S.A.' and with patent dates to 1877, the left side of barrel marked 'THE HOPKINS & ALLEN MANUFACTURING CO., NORWICH, CONN. U.S.A.', blind-fluted cylinder, plain open frame with barrel slide release catch forwards of the trigger-guard, mottled red and black chequered hard-rubber flared grips, lanyard ring to base of butt, the whole with traces of colour and finish
