circa 1850, with blued octagonal 5 5/8in. Birmingham proved barrel, bead fore-sight, plain cylinder with engraved leading edge, rounded scroll engraved iron central hammer boxlock action with integral nipple-shield, double action only mechanism, chequered walnut grips, engraved iron pommel-cap and guarded trigger, strong amount of finish remaining, 12 1/4in. overall, weight approximately 1 3/4lbs.
