A RARE POWDER FLASK WITH SLANTED CHARGER FOR THE LONDON COLT ARMY,
circa early 1860s, copper and brass, with suspension loop, slanted (canted) charger with spout marked 'DRAM' and graduations for 3/8, 4/8 and 5/8, top marked 'JAMES DIXON & SONS SHEFFIELD', with some shallow knocks, strong spring, 5 3/4in. overall, weight approx. 1/4lb.

Other Notes: These flasks were used in the sets of the Colt Model 1860 revolver cased in London (see The Powder Flask Book by Ray Riling No. 841 and Colt Firearms from 1836 by James E. Serven page 133)
