ENGLAND', 2 3/4in. chambers, bored approx. imp. cyl. and 1/4 choke, small repair to rib, hold-open toplever, automatic safety with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' detail, gold-inlaid cocking-indicators, best fine acanthus scroll engraving with floral bouquets, the makers name in elaborate cartouches on the lockplates, the underside with 'J. PURDEY & SONS. LONDON. ENGLAND.', the triggerguard gold-inlaid with the serial number, retaining much original colour-hardening, 14 7/8in. figured semi-pistolgrip stock including 1/2in. leather covered recoil pad, weight 7lb. 11oz., in its lightweight leather case
