circa 1862, with round 6in. barrel, dove-tailed fore-sight, plain cylinder numbered '1571', hinged frame numbered '2198', central hammer with rear-sight notch to nose, selectable trigger, smooth walnut one-piece grip and articulated under-barrel rammer, the whole retaining strong traces of original finish
