circa 1845, with Turner Patent Rifled blued octagonal 33 1/2in. barrel marked 'TURNER'S PATENT' on the top-flat, dove-tailed tunnel fore-sight, elevating ladder rear-sight, engraved breech-block (strong traces of colour), colour-hardened engraved top-tang, border engraved colour-hardened bar-action lock signed 'THOMAS TURNER, 8 FISHER STREET, BIRMINGHAM', chequered walnut pistol-grip half-stock with carved cheeks, chequered iron heel-plate and capped grip, inlet patch-box and serial numbered mushroom headed ramrod, much original finish throughout and complete with a period muzzle tompion
