with 2 3/4in. round barrel, the top flat marked 'COLT'S HOUSE PISTOL / HARTFORD CT USA', the frame with sheath trigger, distinctive four shot cylinder, two piece rosewood birdshead grips, exceptionally good condition overall with most of its nickel finish and good untouched grips

Provenance: The Colt House pistol better known as the Cloverleaf due to the four shot barrel configuration was one of the rarer revolvers produced by Colt, made circa 1871-76, with a total of 7,500 revolvers made
