A .577/450 MARTINI HENRY MK IV PATTERN LONG-LEVER SERVICE RIFLE WITH SWORD BAYONET, CIRCA 1887, serial no. 666,
with 33in. barrel stamped with Enfield proofs to breech and fitted with block and blade front-sight, ladder rear-sight, the action bearing the Enfield Crown V.R. cypher dated 1887 also 'IV' over '1' indicating Mk 4, 1st class, two-piece iron mounted walnut butt stamped with the Enfield Mk IV, 1st class roundel and various other faint issue markings, two barrel bands the top band with its bayonet lug, sling swivels, correct rod; together with its sword bayonet with 18in. straight blade with Crown V.R. cypher to top and dated for 1886, fitted with two piece black leather grips, complete with its correct iron mounted black leather scabbard
