9in. barrel struck with London proofs at the breech together with E.I.C. inspection stamps and fitted with a swivel rammer hinged at muzzle, rounded pattern lock, the centre engraved with the rampant lion cypher of the East India Company, raised waterproof pan, bun-nut retained ring neck cock and distinctive tall frizzen, brass mounted full length walnut stock with heavy flat butt-cap with fixed lanyard ring
