A .750 PERCUSSION SERVICE-MUSKET, MODEL 'PATTERN 1842', serial no. 108,
dated for 1848, with round iron 39in. barrel, block and blade fore-sight, replacement elevating ladder rear-sight, solid top-tang, borderline engraved lock marked with a 'V.R.' crown device, walnut three-quarter stock, brass furniture, the muzzle-cap fitted with 'Lovell's' bayonet catch and complete with iron ramrod (some old deep scars to butt)
