A .600 PERCUSSION BRASS-BARRELLED OFFICER'S PISTOL, serial no. W101090,
circa 1795 with later conversion by drum and nipple to percussion, octagonal brass slightly swamped 9 1/2in. barrel signed 'LONDON' on the top-flat (some bruising), the left top-flat marked with a broad arrow and government inspectors marks, also 'EXTRA PROOF' and Tower proofs, iron top-tang stamped with the later serial number, flat borderline engraved lock of flint form, the pointed tail signed 'TOWER', walnut full-stock (some minor chipping to sharp edges of fore-end and damage to cross-pin holes), the provision for a detachable shoulder-stock armourer patched in, domed brass butt-cap with short tail to rear, brass trigger-guard bow, serpentine brass side-plate and moulded ramrod thimbles and throat, possible period wood ramrod
