A .442 (ELEY) SIX-SHOT DOUBLE-ACTION REVOLVER, MODEL 'WEBLEY'S No.1', no visible serial number,
circa 1879, with ovoid 4 1/2in. barrel, flat sighting plane with small crescent fore-sight, shallow sighting groove to the top-strap, flush fitting ejector-rod crane at breech, plain cylinder with frontal locking notches, solid frame marked 'WEBLEY'S PATENT' in an oval and with the 'winged bullet' trademark repeated on both sides, chequered walnut one-piece grip, lanyard ring at heel and guarded trigger, older refinish (thinning) with some mild pin-prick pitting
