A CASED 12-BORE PERCUSSION DOUBLE-BARRELLED SPORTING-GUN , serial no. 257,
circa 1855, with London proved and browned twist 30in. barrels signed in script on the top-rib 'HARKOM, EDINBURGH' within a scroll engraved flourish, bead fore-sight, plain breech-ends (traces of colour), platinum plugs, unusual plain bar-action locks and hammers (colour refreshed), chequered walnut half-stock with plain iron furniture and brass mounted ebony ramrod, together with a walnut storage case, almost certainly associated, lined and compartmented in green baize and including a shot belt, a period embossed powder flask, shot-charger and two further cleaning rods
