A RARE .177 SINGLE SHOT PLUNGE-COCKING AIR PISTOL, MODEL 'TITAN' serial no. 29,
third pattern circa 1921 and almost certainly by Frank Clarke of Birmingham, with 7in fixed smoothbore barrel, the steel air chamber stamped 'THE TITAN AIR PISTOL PATENT 110999/17' (F. James's patent of 1917), rotating breech-cap for loading (breech washer absent), swinging cocking rod with 'grip' safe and chequered hard rubber grips, the whole retaining much original finish.
