and dated for 1894, with two stage 4 1/2in. barrel, integral blade fore-sight, 'church window' fluted cylinder, solid frame with side safety and swing-out loading gate, smooth walnut bag-shaped grips, provision for lanyard ring to heel (ring absent), the back-strap marked '1.M.II.72.121', traces of original finish with some small patches of pitting
