circa 1855, with round browned 32in. barrel, short sighting-rib at breech, bead fore-sight, the top of breech engraved with a dog, borderline engraved top-tang and bar action lock (traces of colour to both), the lock signed forwards of the hammer 'R. LEA', chequered walnut half-stock, iron furniture including lower tang with pistol-grip spur, horn tip to fore-end and white metal mounted ramrod
