28in. black powder only barrels, partially file cut rib engraved 'HOLLAND & HOLLAND 98 NEW BOND STREET LONDON. WINNERS OF ALL THE "FIELD" TRIALS 1883', open sights and two folding leaf sights marked for 50/150, 200 and 250 yards, ramped bead fore-sight, Jones patent rotary underlever, carved percussion fences, rebounding back-action locks with bolted hammers, border engraving, the action bar engraved 'CHARGE 4 DRMS. CASE 3 1/4 INCHES', action knuckle and barrels also numbered H1007, retaining traces of colour-hardening (likely historic refinish), 14 5/8in. well-figured pistolgrip stock with cheekpiece, horn pistolgrip-cap and buttplate, fore-end with grip-catch release lever, weight 8lb. 10oz.

Provenance: The makers have kindly confirmed that the rifle is recorded as being made as a '.450 bore D. rifle back action locks, over guard lever, rebounding locks, pistol hand, cheekpiece', the owners details are not recorded. The date of manufacture is also not stated, but will be circa 1889/90
