A 7.63mm (MAUSER) SEMI-AUTOMATIC PISTOL MODEL 'C96 WARTIME COMMERCIAL', serial no. 348810,
circa 1917, with 5 1/2in. barrel, block and blade fore-sight, 1000 metre rear-sight, small ring hammer, new-style safety catch, machined receiver, 34 groove wood grips (burns and losses), lanyard ring at pommel, the whole with good traces of original finish, TOGETHER WITH a matching wooden holster-stock numbered '810', (loss to main body, end-cap replaced, some repairs) and a leather harness dated '1916' manufactured by 'DINGELDEY & WERRES, BERLIN', complete with a cleaning rod and spare magazine mainspring (leather distressed, some losses)
