mid-19th century, with substantial 36 1/2in. two-stage barrel rifled with seven grooves and stamped 'M. LEKEU / RAYEUH' in small letters on the left hand side, white metal blade fore-sight, adjustable tangent rear-sight calibrated from 0 to 3 (hundred metres?), recessed breech, long tang, border and scroll engraved back-action lock, 14 1/4in. walnut half-stock (repaired above lock, minor setting cracks towards side-nail), iron furniture, white metal take-down wedge escutcheons, iron ramrod and Liege proofs (metal parts darkly stained)
