circa 1936, with 17 1/4in. sighted barrel, 39 1/2in. overall, the air chamber etched with 'THE BSA STANDARD AIR-RIFLE .177 BORE (No1), together with the address and various foreign patent numbers (etching with good definition, one scratch to bluing), walnut 'saw-grip' stock with impressed chequered panels and the length of pull (14 1/4) stamped in the wood behind grip, folded steel trigger-guard and push-button release under-lever, the whole retaining much original finish
