for 1900, 29in. fine damascus nitro barrels, the rib gold-inlaid '1' at the breech end, 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. true cyl. and 1/2 choke, left wall thickness at 17, Dickson patent round-action incorporating patents 9399 and 10621 of 1887, use number 829, the toplever gold-inlaid '1', automatic safety with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' detail, profusely engraved with bold acanthus scrollwork and with scrolling banners engraved 'JOHN DICKSON & SON PATENT' to the sides, 14in. figured stock including 3/4in. recoil pad, weight 6lb. 6oz., in its lightweight leather 'violin' case with purple velveteen lining and gold-tooled leather trade label
