LONDON.', 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. true cyl. and 1/4 choke, rib loose, some minor dents, automatic safety with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' detail, hand-detachable lockplates, gold-inlaid cocking-indicators, rolled-edge triggerguard, best bold Royal scroll engraving, the underside with 'ROYAL SELF-OPENER PATENT 1922' in an elaborate cartouche, bright finish, 15 1/8in. figured stock including 1 1/2in. wooden extension, weight 6lb. 5oz., in its brass-cornered oak and leather case
Provenance: The makers have kindly confirmed that this gun was completed in 1931 for a 'Mr Shearburn'. They also confirm that the gun was rebarrelled in 1963
