for 1963, 28in. replacement nitro chopperlump barrels (by the makers in 1964), rib engraved '"ROYAL"' and the tubes engraved 'HOLLAND & HOLLAND 13, BRUTON STREET, LONDON.', 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. 1/2 and 3/4 choke, automatic safety with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' detail, gold-inlaid cocking-indicators, rolled-edge triggerguard, border and 'Royal' scroll engraving, retaining some original colour-hardening and finish, 14 1/2in. figured stock, weight 6lb. 11oz., in its makers tan leather case with green canvas outer
Provenance: The makers have kindly confirmed that this gun was completed in 1963 for a 'Mr Freemantle'. The gun was rebarrelled by them the following year
