A GOOD WORLD WAR ONE M1917 BOLO TRENCH-KNIFE WITH RIBBED METAL SCABBARD,
dated for 1918, with blacked 10in. drop-point bolo blade, the ricasso marked 'PLUMB PHILA 1918' on the left and 'US MOD 1917' on the right side, large iron flat cross-guard, wood grips held by two screws and moulded with shallow finger-grooves, semi birds-head skull-cracker pommel, good condition and complete with its olive green painted ribbed metal scabbard marked at throat 'US L.F. & C. 1918', and with permanently attached leather frog, overall length of knife 15 1/8in., weight in scabbard approx. 2lbs.
