A RARE 20-BORE 1913 PATENT DOUBLE-TRIGGER OVER AND UNDER SIDELOCK EJECTOR, serial no. 6752,
28in. nitro barrels with raised solid matt top-rib, side-ribs, 2 3/4in. chambers, bored approx. 1/4 and 1/2 choke, wall thicknesses below recommended minimum, C.L Woodward, W.P. Evershed and C. Hill patent action, patent no. 4986 of 27th February 1913, hold-open toplever, carved fences with slight side-bolsters, automatic safety with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' detail, gold-inlaid cocking-indicators, best fine floral bouquet and acanthus scroll engraving, the underside with 'WOODWARD'S PATENT UNDER & OVER' in an oval cartouche, bright and blued finish overall, 15 3/4in. boldly-figured (likely replacement) stock with Prince of Wales semi-pistolgrip, horn pistolgrip-cap and including 7/8in. rubber recoil pad, weight 6lb., in a lightweight leather case

Johan Carl Kempe (8 December 1884 – 8 July 1967) was leader of the Swedish pulp and paper industry Mo och Domsjö AB and involved in several other companies in the large economic sphere of the Kempe family. He was also a silver medallist in tennis at the 1912 Summer Olympics in Stockholm.
