28in. replacement nitro barrels (circa 1983), rib engraved in gothic script 'J. RIGBY & CO. LONDON. ENGLAND.', 2 3/4in. chambers, bored approx. 1/4 and 1/2 choke, treble-grip action with removable striker discs, automatic safety with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' detail, border and acanthus scroll engraving, brushed finish overall, 15 7/8in. well-figured replacement stock, slightly cast on, replacement fore-end wood (minor cracks) and with grip-catch release lever, weight 6lb. 11oz., in a lightweight leather case
Provenance: The makers have kindly informed us that this shotgun was completed in November 1908 with 30in. barrels to pair with gun no.17100 for Cyril Gwyer.
