REILLY, MODEL 'ADAMS PATENT', serial no. 40063, circa 1858, with octagonal 6in. barrel, dove-tailed for fore-sight and rear-sight (missing), the top-strap originally signed 'E.m. Reilly & CO,502 NEW OXFORD ST. LONDON', now cut by rear-sight dove-tail, hinged rammer fixed to left front of frame, borderline engraved solid frame with Francotte maker's mark and 'ADAMS PATENT' with the number, plain five-shot cylinder with bevelled leading edge, sliding safe, double-action trigger (at fault), chequered walnut grip with later brass butt-cap dove-tailed for a shoulder-stock (missing), much plated finish remaining
