30in. nitro reproved bold damascus barrels, raised matted rib with a banner engraved 'I. HOLLIS & SONS. LONDON.', 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. true cyl. and 3/4 choke, Anson & Deeley patent treble-grip action with slender toplever, automatic safety with inlaid 'SAFE' plaque, intercepting sears, Anson patent ejector system, patent no. 16138 of 9th December 1886 (requires attention), the action finely engraved with acanthus scrolls with decorative and crosshatch bordering, with central vignettes of hound and fowl, the bottomplate with an ornate floral design, 14 1/2in. figured stock with original IHS monogrammed buttplate, bolstered fore-end wood, Deeley & Edge patent release catch and horn finial, weight 6lb. 9oz.
