30in. bold damascus nitro barrels with beaded bordering at the breech end, rib gold-inlaid '1', address details indistinct, 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. imp. cyl. and 1/2 choke, carved fences, striker discs, toplever gold-inlaid '1', automatic safety with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' detail, H.A.A. Thorn patent 'Detachable Solid Bar Lock' sidelocks, patent no. 6413 of 14th March 1911, best bold acanthus scroll engraving, the left sideplate with lock patent details around rear screw, retaining very slight traces of original colour-hardening and finish, 14 1/2in. figured stock (cast on for the left shoulder) including 1in. wooden extension, fore-end with grip-catch release lever gold-inlaid '1', the iron engraved '2 PIECE EJECTOR', weight 6lb. 11oz., in a leather 'violin' case with Cogswell & Harrison trade label
