A CONTINENTAL CAVALRY SABER, late 18th to early 19th century, with curving broad fullered 33in. blade, narrow blind fuller to back edge, the left side of blade inscribed 'NO ME ENGAINES SIN HONOR', the right 'NO ME SATUES SIN RASON', iron stirrup hilt (cracked), semi circular langets with carved droplets, wire bound fishskin grip and doves-head pommel, complete with its iron scabbard
