A PATTERN 1876 'LUNGER' BAYONET FOR THE MARTINI-HENRY RIFLE, circa 1880s, with 21 1/2 in. triangular steel blade fullered on each side, ricasso with worn British Ordnance and inspection markings and 'sold out of service' mark, overstamped with Farsi script, socket muzzle ring cut through to extend the mortise, together with its black leather scabbard with brass fittings, 25 1/4 in. overall
