A 16-BORE FLINTLOCK INDIAN MILITARY PISTOL, UNSIGNED, no visible serial number, circa early 19th Century, appears to be a 'parts' gun assembled in India from a combination of British army New Land Pattern and East India Company cavalry pistol components, with 9 in. steel barrel with British and Indian proof marks, border-engraved lock marked 'TOWER' with crown above 'GR', brass butt-cap with steel lanyard ring, brass trigger-guard and nose-cap, captive steel rammer, walnut stock, steel-work with scrubbed pitting, stock cracked along rammer pipe, two large stock repairs either side of the barrel tang and extending beyond the lock and side-plate, 16 in. overall
