MANTON', no visible serial number, the lock dated for 1798, with reeded and moulded 40 1/4in. barrel, vacant cartouche for a Persian maker's stamp, re-used military lock with the East India heart trademark at tail, walnut full-stock with Sind style butt and pierced brass decoration, missing trigger guard bow, some repaired damage and other small losses
