A PATTERN 1854 INFANTRY OFFICER'S SWORD, circa 1890, with 33in. blade, fullered with etched royal cypher and scroll-work to each side, brass proved plug on one side of ricasso and 'BY APPOINTMENT / HENRY / WILKINSON / PALL MALL / LONDON' to other, numbered 29333 to blade back, brass Gothic hilt with VR cypher, black fish-skin grip bound with copper wire, together with its steel scabbard with suspension rings, blade with nicks, some light surface rust to the scabbard
