A RARE 12-BORE PERCUSSION DOUBLE BARRELLED CROSS OVER SPORTING GUN BY CHARLES LANCASTER CIRCA 1850, serial no 1059, with 30 in. Damascus twist barrels, rusted and frosted, bar action locks with foliate and game scene engraving (faint and worn overall) iron mounted walnut half-stock with chequered wrist and vacant silver escutcheon, the mounts frosted and stained, ramrod missing. Percussion sporting guns with cross over stocks are quite rare.
