A .22 HORNET 'MARTINI HENRY PATENT' FALLING-BLOCK SPORTING RIFLE, serial no. 49169, 26 3/4in. lined nitro reproved barrel with flat matt top (lined to .22 Hornet from .360 Rook), bead fore-sight, the breech end with attached Parker Hale telescopic sight rail and a Weaver 1x3x20 telescopic sight, Martini patent falling block action with teardrop cocking-indicator and side mounted safety switch, border engraved with elaborate central scroll cartouches, the right side with 'MARTINI HENRY PATENT', retaining very slight traces of blued finish, 14 3/4in. stock with steel buttplate, screw attached fore-end with horn finial, weight 6lb. 14oz.
