collection reference 0477, circa 1865 and of Lefaucheux pattern, with bright polished round iron 4 1/4in. barrel with engraved mount, side mounted ejector-rod, chisel engraved plain cylinder, scroll engraved brass open frame, spurless hammer carved in the form of a stylised dog's head, chisel carved burr-walnut grips, engraved grip-straps with shell carved pommel-cap and bright polished folding trigger (action at fault)
