Continental, probably Belgian circa 1840, with twist iron side by side 7 3/4in. barrels, applied top-rib scroll engraved at breech-end, bead fore-sight, unvented breech-blocks with shallow fences, scroll engraved top-tang with shallow sighting groove, unsigned scroll engraved back-action locks with engraved hammers of 'C' form (right screw replaced), walnut half-stock with capped grip and guarded double triggers and later ramrod, finish worn
