circa 1856-64 and probably cut down from an Artillery Carbine, with reblued two-stage 15 1/2in. barrel, dove-tailed blade fore-sight, standing notch rear-sight, sighting groove to the top-strap with traces of makers details, reblued solid frame with side-hammer, five-shot fluted cylinder, plain walnut straight hand butt-stock, walnut fore-end with single barrel-band and semi concealed loading lever, missing nose-cap, detail worn.
