circa 1870, with reblued octagonal 30in. barrel, applied matted sighting rib with adjustable blade fore-sight and eight-leaf rear-sight with additional adjustable standing notch, the rib between the sights graduated in 1in. bands for trophy measuring and lined in gold (small losses), the top of breech signed 'I. HOLLIS & SONS, LONDON', lift up breech-block of Westley Richards type with scroll engraving, brushed bright border and scroll engraved lock signed on the bar 'I. HOLLIS & SONS' (some mild staining), chequered walnut pistol-grip half-stock (cracked and repaired at wrist), iron furniture, single set trigger and under-barrel rib with replacement clearing rod
