E.F HORSTER, SOLINGEN
A SCARCE 1909 PATTERN TURKISH N.C.O'S SHORT-SWORD or HANGER, no visible serial number,
manufactured before World War One, with straight double-edged 17in. blade of flat oval profile, both sides etched with panels of Turkish script, 'Horster' signature at forte, blacked iron 'D' shaped hilt with single rolled quillion, wire-bound fishskin grip and iron back-strap with doveshead pommel, complete with its square ended iron scabbard.
